PIPE JOINING QUALITY CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE

A pipe joining apparatus for joining a first conduit section with a second conduit section wherein a mechanical restraint member extends from an outer surface of the first conduit to an outer surface of the second conduit. The pipe joining apparatus includes: a) at least one of a heat producing member and a pressure applicator; b) a location monitoring member; and, c) a data recorder wherein the data recorder records for a location at which the apparatus is used the at least one of the temperature and pressure applied by the apparatus at the location.
