<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchip capable of preventing the reduction of a liquid amount caused by the evaporation, leak, or the like, of a preliminarily built-in liquid reagent and capable of accurately metering the liquid reagent to perform precision inspection and analysis. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid reagent built-in type microchip equipped with a liquid reagent holding part 101 for holding the liquid reagent 110, the liquid reagent 110 shows flowability, when the microchip is used and sealed by a sealant 120 which is inert with respect to the liquid reagent 110. The microchip is connected to the liquid reagent holding part 101 and further has a separation part 102 for separating the liquid reagent 110 and the sealant 120, and the separation part 102 is constituted of a separation tank 103 for separating the liquid reagent 110 and the sealant 120 and a housing tank 104 connected to the separation tank 103 through a first flow channel 105.
