PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation device which is capable of attaining downsizing/compactification and is capable of enlarging a change gear ratio.SOLUTION: In a power generation device 20 for a vehicle including driving wheels, rear wheels 13 which are a pair of right and left driven wheels, a power unit for driving the driving wheels and a driving battery for driving the power unit, a pair of right and left gear mechanisms 30A are supported in the vicinity of the pair of right and left rear wheels 13. Each of the gear mechanisms 30A is configured by disposing an annular inner gear 37 concentrically with a sun gear 38 and interposing a plurality of intermediate gears 36 in an annular space between the inner gear 37 and the sun gear 38. The inner gear 37 in each of the gear mechanisms 30A is fixed to the pair of right and left rear wheels 13, respectively. An output shaft 52 is fixed to the sun gear 38 in each of the gear mechanisms 30A, respectively, and a generator 53 is connected to each of the output shafts 52, respectively. |
