PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug with a seal member, which can achieve positional adjustment of the spark plug on a cylinder head without over-loading the spark plug and the cylinder when mounting the spark plug on the cylinder head and can ensure highly air-tight, highly loose-resistive and immobilized mounting. SOLUTION: A folding seal ring 7 of the spark plug 1 is disposed on the outer periphery of a casing 5. The cross-sectional surface of the folding seal ring has a hollow profile. The folding seal ring has an outward directing free leg 7a and a mounting area 7b. The mounting area is mounted on an abutting surface 10a and the free leg is disposed at a predetermined angleαrelative to the mounting area. The folding seal ring is designed such that it is compressed and the free leg is bent toward the abutting surface when assembling the spark plug to increase the diameter of the folding seal ring.
