The present invention provides a method of preparing a granular-type amorphous metal oxide catalyst for removing a volatile organic compound (VOC) comprising: a step (step 1) of mixing amorphous metal oxide catalyst powder, an organic binder, and an inorganic binder; a step (step 2) of preparing a granular-type molded body by using a mixture mixed in the step 1; and a step (step 3) of preparing a granular-type amorphous metal oxide catalyst by heat-treating the granular-type molded body prepared in the step 2 at a temperature of 100-550°C. According to the present invention, the method of preparing the granular-type amorphous metal oxide catalyst is a method of preparing a granular-type molded body by mixing amorphous metal oxide catalyst powder, an inorganic binder, and an organic binder. Therefore, a decrease in a surface area compared to powder is reduced in comparison with conventional compression molding, and strength above a certain level can be obtained through a drying or heat treating process. Moreover, as heat is applied in a conventional extrusion molding method, catalyst efficiency is decreased after extrusion in a metal oxide catalyst which is sensitive to heat. The preparing method of the present invention is capable of molding in a low-temperature region, thereby preventing catalytic efficiency from being reduced by crystallization or sintering after a heat-sensitive catalyst is formed. Furthermore, the granular-type amorphous metal oxide catalyst prepared by the preparing method of the present invention has an excellent effect of removing a volatile organic compound. |
