The pulse width detection unit detects the pulse widths of pulses included in a pulse signal when the pulse signal is input. The speed control unit performs acceleration control in which the rotational speed of a drive motor is accelerated from zero to a target rotational speed and deceleration control in which the rotational speed of the drive motor is decelerated to zero. Among the pulses included in the pulse signal input during the deceleration control, the identical pulse detection unit detects a pulse in which the pulse width detected by the pulse width detection unit is identical to the pulse width of the first pulse stored in the pulse width storage unit. The stop processing unit stops control of the rotational speed of the drive motor by the speed control unit.
