摘要 The aim of the invention is to determine actual dimensional properties of a measured object (32) which has a plurality of geometric elements. This is achieved by a coordinate measuring device (12) with a measuring head (16). Furthermore, target data (34) is provided which represents the target properties for the plurality of geometric elements. The target properties contain acceptable manufacturing tolerances for the geometric elements. A measurement process (40), which determines movements of the measuring head (16) relative to the measured object (32) and the detection of measurement values at defined measuring head positions relative to the measured object (32), is generated in a computer-assisted manner. Control commands for controlling the measuring head (16) are determined depending on test characteristics for the defined geometric elements. Using individual measurement values of the measured object, numerical values are determined which represent the actual dimensional properties of the measured object according to the test characteristics. According to an aspect of the invention, a first measurement process is first generated and modified prior to detecting the individual measurement values in order to obtain a modified second measurement process with at least partially modified second control commands. The second control commands are selected such that each of the numerical values has a defined measurement uncertainty which is less than the acceptable manufacturing tolerances for the geometric elements by a defined amount.
