PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system capable of emitting different acoustic identification information to each of a plurality of partially overlapped areas, and distributing proper information to a user even when the plurality of pieces of identification information are acquired by the user.SOLUTION: An information distribution system includes a plurality of sound emission devices and a portable terminal device. The plurality of sound emission devices are respectively associated with a plurality of partially overlapped areas, and configured to emit mutually different acoustic identification information to the areas with which the plurality of sound emission devices are respectively associated. The portable terminal device includes: a sound collection part for collecting a voice emitted by the sound emission device; a demodulation part for demodulating the identification information from the collected voice; a selection part for selecting the identification information satisfying a predetermined condition from the plurality of pieces of demodulated identification information; and a reproduction processing part for reproducing content corresponding to the selected identification information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
