PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently coat a processing object, such as a circuit board, with a liquid.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device comprises: a discharge part which discharges a coating liquid; moving means of moving the discharge part laterally and longitudinally and along a height as respective three-dimensional directions; and a height detection part moved by the moving means together with the discharge part. For setting a spray path as a movement path in coating operation of the discharge part in this case, the device performs: an image acquisition process of capturing a coating processing object image; a height measuring process of measuring a height of the coating processing object at respective two-dimensional positions by moving the height detection part by the moving means; a coating inhibition area setting process of setting a coating inhibition area on the coating processing object image; and a generating process of generating the spray path using settings of the coating inhibition area and measurement results of height measuring process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
