PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safeguard for a tire roller, which can prevent a person or an obstacle from being damaged by a collision, by detecting the person or the obstacle before collision with a rear part of a car body of the tire roller and a rear wheel thereof when the roller moves backward. SOLUTION: In this safeguard, the rear part 2 of the car body of a tire roller body 1 is provided with a backward elongated supporting member 3. A net mounting member 16, wherein a guard net 32 is provided in a tensioned state in the rear of the body 1, is pivoted on the supporting member 3 in such a manner as to be rotatable in the longitudinal direction of the body 1. The safeguard is provided with: a limit switch 20 which detects the turning of the member 16, which brings about the stop of the drive of wheels and the actuation of a parking brake, and which stops the reverse traveling of the body 1; a revolving light and a buzzer 4, which are actuated when the limit switch 20 detects the turning of the member 16; and the guard net 32 whose upper part is inclined to the side of the body 1.
