PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition constituting a crawler hardly causing breakage of the crawler or rust on a core bar in the crawler, i.e. the crawler having excellent flexibility. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the crawler is obtained by compounding 30-90 pts. wt. carbon black, 0.2-3.0 pts. wt. sulfur, 0.5-3.0 pts. wt. vulcanization accelerator, and 1.0-10.0 pts. wt. sulfide polymer represented by general formula (1) (wherein, m and n are the numbers of repeating units, and an integer of 2-6, and an integer of 2-100 respectively) with 100 pts. wt. basic material polymer at least containing a natural rubber, a homopolymer of a conjugated diolefin, a copolymer of the polymer of the conjugated diolefin with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, or a mixture thereof.
