The invention relates to the medicinal field. An anticancer agent composition is provided which comprises a combination of (a) at least one of paclitaxel, carboplatin, irinotecan, and derivatives of these and (b) a protein which is a diphtheria toxin mutant, has the ability to inhibit the bonding of HB-EGF to an EGF receptor, and has substantially no toxicity of diphtheria toxin. Also provided is a kit for cancer remedy which comprises the ingredients (a) and (b). Use of (a) and (b) in combination synergistically produces an excellent growth inhibitory effect on tumors.
