<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of improving security and convenience of a user, a printing system, a program, and a method for printing. <P>SOLUTION: This printing system 1 comprises a PC 10-1 and printers (20-1)-(20-N) connected via a LAN 50. The PC 10-1 has a print data forming section 111 for forming print data according to designation of a user, a print data transmission section 113 for transmitting the formed print data to the printers (20-1)-(20-N), and a communication section 17. Each of the printers (20-1)-(20-N) comprises an external memory device 23 for storing the received print data, an input section 26 and a card reader 24 for inputting the printing designation of the user and user identification information, a print data management section 212 for reading the print data corresponding to the user identification information from the external memory device 23, and a printer engine 28 for performing the printing according to the read print data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
