PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of preventing intrusion of chips, which are generated in fastening a screw when an electric component storing portion is fixed to a main body, into a control board and an electric component, and improving reliability of the electric component. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner comprising the main body 1 comprising a suction opening 12 and a blow out opening 13, a blower 8 placed in opposition to the suction opening 12, and the electric component storing portion 9, the electric component storing portion 9 is fixed to the main body 1 by means of the fixing screw 28, and provided with a chip receiving portion 27B positioned at a lower portion of the fixing screw 28 in assembling to receive the chips generated when the fixing screw 28 is fastened in assembling.
