PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely detect a road section line while the influence of noise is hardly received. SOLUTION: A road section line detecting device comprises: an imaging means 10 for imaging a landscape including a part of a road surface from a vehicle and acquiring a circumferential image; and a determination means 104 for calculating the variation in the signal level of the circumferential image for each processing line and determining whether the feature point of the road section line exists on each processing line, based on the calculated variation.
