METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DRIVING MANY DISPLAY APPARATUS USING A SINGULAR VIDEO STREAM

An interface method for operating a plurality of display devices with a single video stream and a system thereof are provided to minimize the number of wires needed for providing image data and pins needed for connecting the wires by enabling one video driver to provide the displayed image data to a plurality of display devices. An image data reconfiguring part(100) reconfigures the single video stream by repeatedly arranging the image data displayed to each display device(400A-400D) in a cycle of the number of display devices by order of the display devices receiving the image data. A video driver(200) transmits the reconfigured single video stream to the display devices. Each decoder(300A-300D) is connected to each display device and extracts/provides the image data to each display device in the order of the image data arranged in the reconfigured single video stream. The single video stream is reconfigured in a pixel unit of the display device by using the reconfigured image data.
