An apparatus for sewing a rubber tape in a sewing machine is provided to tense both ends of a rubber tape between a fabric and a cloth tape during a sewing process, thereby needing no high skill of a worker and shorten the working time, by constituting the apparatus of a cloth tape guiding unit, a rubber tape guiding unit, a sensor, and an operating unit for moving the rubber tape in right and left directions. A cloth tape guiding unit(10) guides a cloth tape between a lower surface of a sewing foot(910) and a fabric. A rubber tape guiding unit(30) guides a rubber tape tensed between the cloth tape and the fabric. An operating unit(50) moves the rubber tape guiding unit in right and left directions according to a control signal of a controller. A sensor(550) senses whether the fabric is disposed on the lower surface of the sewing foot. The controller controls the operating unit according to a signal of the sensor. The operating unit is a cylinder having piston road fixed at one side of the rubber tape guiding unit.
