<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a printer with a plurality of printing modes having different quietness properties, the printing mode is switched irrespective of whether or not a user is bothered by printing sound at that time. <P>SOLUTION: This printing system comprises a print execution section capable of performing printing by switching between the plurality of printing modes having different quietness properties in the printing, a sound output section coupled to the print execution section through a network, a request level determination section for acquiring operation information indicative of an operating state of the sound output section and determining a request level relating to the quietness property based on the operation information, and a printing mode determination section for determining the printing mode for the printing performed by the print execution section in the plurality of printing modes in response to the request level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
