A corrosion identification and management system is provided to check and manage structural corrosion potential for an assembly by measuring RCI(Relative Corrosion Index). A corrosion estimating method includes the steps of: providing an assembly including 1~i materials and 0~j interfaces, wherein each interface is a contact between two materials; calculating RCI(Relative Corrosion Index) for each material based on a first formula, RCImaterial = RCIbasexfMx(F1^M~Fn^M), wherein RCIbase is function estimated with regard to a mistake or one and only mistake for material, wherein fM is a first scalar function, and wherein F1^M~FnM is a set of a mistake or a material corrosion factor can be selected from the function estimated with regard to the mistake; calculating RCI interface for each interface based on a second formula, RCIinterface = RCImaterialmax x fI(F1^I~Fm^I), wherein RCImaterialmax is calculated based on the first formula and is the greatest RCImaterial in the interface, wherein f1 is a second scalar function, wherein F1^M~FnM is a set of a mistake or a interface corrosion factor can be selected from the function estimated with regard to the mistake; calculating RCIassembly based on a third formula, RCIassembly = fA{(RCImaterial)1,...,(RCImaterial)i,...,(RCIinterface)j}, wherein fA is a third scalar function, wherein RCImaterial is calculated based on the first formula, and wherein RCIinterface is calculated based on the second formula, and wherein the size of RCIassembly is decided based on corrosion potential of the assembly.
