PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocurable composition for sealing having excellent electric properties and adhesiveness, particularly excellent adhesiveness to a substrate for a liquid crystal cell using plastics as material. SOLUTION: The curable composition for liquid crystal sealing agents contains a compound having a number average molecular weight of 500-10,000 represented by general formula (1), wherein X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>represent an aliphatic hydrocarbon group; Y represents a (meth)acryloyl group or H, provided that at least one of Y's present in one molecule is a (meth)acryloyl group; R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>each independently represent a group comprising a monocyclic saturated hydrocarbon, a group comprising a monocyclic unsaturated hydrocarbon, a group comprising a condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon or a group comprising a ring assembly hydrocarbon; and t represents repeating units.
