This separation detection unit is provided with: an analysis column for separating a sample into the respective components thereof; a detection unit for detecting the components of the sample separated by the analysis column; and a column oven in which the analysis column and the detection unit are accommodated. The detection unit is provided with: a sample cell provided with a liquid-accommodation part for accommodating a liquid from the analysis column, an inlet part which is connected to one end of the analysis column, and through which the liquid from the analysis column flows into the liquid-accommodation part, and an outlet part out of which the liquid in the liquid-accommodation part flows; a light source unit provided with a light-emission diode or a laser diode for irradiating the sample cell with light without passing the light through a beam splitter; and a detection element for detecting either light which is emitted from the light source unit and passes through the sample cell, or light emitted from the sample in the sample cell, said light having been excited by the light from the light source unit. The column oven is provided with: an inlet port which leads to another end of the analysis column; and an outlet port which leads to the outlet part of the sample cell. |
