PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display information for an elevator having high video quality even when transmission distance is varied by movement of an elevator car. SOLUTION: A first transmitter 5a and a first receiver 5b are disposed outside the car, a second receiver 6a and a second transmitter 6b are disposed on the lower part side of a hoistway so that the first transmitter faces the first receiver, analog image information photographed by an in-car monitoring camera 4 is transmitted from the first transmitter by optical transmission in response to the variation of the transmission distance between the transmitter and the receiver following the car movement, a receiving level signal is taken out of the analog video information received by the second receiver, car position information is measured, and the information is fed back to the first transmitter via the second transmitter and the first receiver. The first transmitter controls and transmits the video information at a transmission output strength providing a desired receiving strength based on the car position information.
