PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a composition for an acoustic wave probe, which enables the large increase in the hardness and mechanical strength of a silicone resin while holding down an acoustic wave attenuation; and a silicone resin for an acoustic wave probe, an acoustic wave probe, an acoustic wave measuring device and an ultrasonic diagnostic device which are each arranged by use of such a composition.SOLUTION: A composition for an acoustic wave probe comprises: a polysiloxane mixture including a polysiloxane having a vinyl group, a polysiloxane having, in a molecular chain, two or more Si-H groups, and silica particles having an average primary particle diameter of less than 12 nm. An acoustic matching layer 2 includes 10 mass% or more of a silicone resin for an acoustic wave probe produced by a hardening reaction of the composition for an acoustic wave probe.
