A plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce luminance loss of blue light due to reflection of blue light by lowering reflectance to external light by mixing a blue dye with a barrier rib. A first substrate(10) and a second substrate(11) are arranged at a predetermined interval in parallel to each other. A plurality of electrodes are formed on opposing surfaces of the first and second substrates. A plurality of barrier ribs(17) are formed between the first and second substrates in order to form a plurality of cells as discharge spaces. The barrier ribs include a dye formed of one of an organic material having a blur color and an inorganic material. A plurality of phosphor layers(18,19,20) are formed within the cells. The barrier ribs include glass powders having low melting point of 90 to 99.99 weight percent and the dye of 0.01 to 10 weight percent.
