PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress measurement deterioration.SOLUTION: A radio terminal, performing radio communication with a base station, includes: a communication unit for performing radio measurement of the base station and for monitoring a paging signal; and a control unit for setting a first and a second section, and receiving through an NAS message information related to the first and second sections from the base station, and controlling the communication unit to perform radio measurement and monitoring in the first section, to enable controlling the communication unit not to perform the radio measurement and the monitoring in the second section after the first section. The control unit further controls, in order to transmit uplink data from the radio terminal generated in the second section, to terminate the second section and resume the radio measurement and the monitoring. |
