PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene coding a C12HSL synthetic enzyme as one kind of acyl homoserine lactone, and a method for producing C12HSL using an enzyme expressed by the gene.SOLUTION: A protein includes any amino acid sequence shown by the following (a) to (c) and also has dodecanoyl homoserine lactone(C12HSL) synthetic enzyme activity; (a) amino acid sequence shown by a specified sequence; (b) an amino acid sequence in which one or several amino acids are deleted, substituted or added in an amino acid sequence shown by the specified sequence; and (c) an amino acid sequence having a homology of 80% with respect to an amino acid sequence shown by the specified sequence. |
