<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porcine circovirus that can be isolated from a physiological specimen or tissue specimen, especially a specimen of the lesion sites of porcine suffering from post-weaning multisystemic wasting syndrome(PMWS), a type II circovirus in particular. <P>SOLUTION: The new porcine circovirus strain isolated from pulmonary and ganglionary specimens obtained from a farm with livestock suffering from the PMWS, the refined preparation of the strain, the attenuated or inactivated vaccine derived from the refined preparation, the recombinant live vaccine, the plasmid vaccine and the subunit vaccine, as well as the diagnostic reagent for the syndrome and the method for diagnosing the syndrome, are provided, respectively. Furthermore, the DNA fragment for use in producing subunits in an expression vector in vitro and the DNA fragment as a sequence to be integrated in an expression vector in vitro of virus or plasmid type, are also provided, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
