<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump flow rate control method and a pump flow rate control system which automatically adjust flow rates of respective pumps and make shared flow rates of the pumps uniform when a plurality of variable-speed pumps driven by variable voltage and variable-frequency power supply controlled by discharge pressure constant control or estimated terminal pressure constant control are operated in parallel, and even if variations in head and flow-rate characteristics of pumps operated in parallel exist. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pump flow rate control method and the pump flow rate control system acquire a total flow rate by computing a shared flow rate of each pump by a quadratic approximate expression for indicating a pump head and the flow rate of the pump and by adding all the shared flow rates of the pumps, and acquires an average flow rate carried by each pump. The average flow rate of the pump is provided to a setting means set as a set flow rate of each pump and compared with a computed flow rate of each pump.
