<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally oscillating thin oscillation generator which allows easy positioning of a needle block in an assembly process, and easily maintains a magnetic gap. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The oscillation generator comprises a stator block constituting a driver unit made by winding a coil around a yoke body, a needle block having a permanent magnet integrated with a weight, and a flat case body comprising first and second cases for accommodating the stator block and the needle block. The needle block is oscillatably fixed to the first case through a coil spring. The stator block has a shape where three magnetic pole portions are serially connected so as to place two winding portions between them. The magnetic pole portions of the stator block and the magnetic pole of the permanent magnet of the needle block are disposed so as to face each other.
