<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which is inexpensive and simple to cool the patient-sided surface of a digital X ray detector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A docking detector receptacle (200) comprises a device (502) for cooling a portable digital X-ray detector (100). Communication identification (704), which is established between the portable digital X-ray detector (100) and the docking detector receptacle (200), is used to carry out communication (706) between the portable digital X-ray detector (100) and the docking detector receptacle (200), wherein the portable digital X-ray detector (100) comprises a panel (102), at least three separation foam layers (104, 106 and 108), a mother board (110), and a carbon fiber layer (114).
