APPARATUS, METHOD, AND PROGRAM FOR MEASURING COVERAGE

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively measure the coverage of a shotpeening surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for measuring the coverage comprises: a distribution calculation means for calculating the probability density distribution of indexes on the surface shape thereof from the surface measurement data in which the indexes on the surface shapes of shotpeening surfaces measured at each position are described; a distribution extraction means for separating the probability density distribution calculated by the distribution calculation means into two probability density distributions by using a predetermined probability distribution function and extracting a first probability density distribution indicating the probability density distribution in a shot unimpacted area and a second probability density distribution indicating the probability density distribution in a shot impacted area; and a coverage calculation means for calculating the coverage by using the integrated value of at least either the first probability density distribution or the second probability density distribution.
