<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radon generating device allowing a user to easily obtain an effect similar to the effect of the real hot-spring recuperation at home without requiring special equipment, and to be relaxed with the enhanced bathing effect. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The radon generating device 1 or 2 has radon generating tiles 10, arranged and held in a plurality of rows at prescribed intervals not to fall, within a holder container 20 which has an opening. The radon generating tiles 10 emit a very small quantity of radiation and radon, and are molded and baked using rocks and clastic rocks including natural uranium and/or decay products of natural uranium. As for the method of using the radon generating device, a whole-body bath or a half-body bath is taken with the radon generating device 1 or 2 sunk and disposed within a bathtub 40 in a bathroom with increased air-tightness in windows and an entrance.
