PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder compacting press machine in which the tips of upper pestles and lower pestles disposed so as to face each other along one central axis are inserted into the holes of mortars and in that state the upper pestles and lower pestles are moved to approach each other so that powder put into the holes is compacted, and which is equipped with a powder lubricant spraying means which sprays the powder lubricant into the holes of the mortars prior to putting the powder thereinto so as to restrain contamination while the powder lubricant is made to adhere securely to the holes of the mortars. SOLUTION: The powder lubricant spraying means includes a downward spray nozzle NB, a powder lubricant recovery mechanism, a charging device CD and a switching means SW. The downward spray nozzle NB sprays the powder lubricant L to the holes 41 of the mortars 4. The powder lubricant recovery mechanism recovers the surplus of the powder lubricant L sprayed from the powder lubricant spraying means. The charging device CD electrostatically charges the powder lubricant L sprayed from the downward spray nozzle NB. The switching means SW has such a function as to allow only the powder lubricant L sprayed with timing of reaching the holes 41 of the mortars to be electrostatically charged.
