Disclosed are an overload control method, a gateway device, a mobility management network element and a PGW. The method comprises: the gateway device determining first overload indication information, wherein the first overload indication information is used for indicating an overload control policy; the gateway device sending the first overload indication information to the mobility management network element so that the mobility management network element executes the overload control policy based on the first overload indication information. The overload control method, the gateway device, the mobility management network element and the PGW in embodiments of the present invention can avoid an adverse effect of device overload, thus effectively controlling device overload. |
