The positioning unit (30) has an inner support surface for supporting the positioning unit at an inner pipe (21). An outer supporting surface is provided for supporting the positioning unit at an outer pipe (22). A clamping unit is provided for clamping the positioning unit at the inner pipe or at the outer pipe. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an endoscope with a heat shrink tube; and a method for positioning an inner pipe in an outer pipe of an endoscope.
