PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoothing processor capable of performing a series of smoothing processing on jaggies generated on an enlarged bit map font by making the same to be closer to the outline of a desired inclination line of a character expressed by a bit map font as a set of dots, and to provide a smoothing processing method which is executed by the smoothing processor.SOLUTION: The smoothing processor prepares a jaggy pattern and a replacement pattern beforehand using an outline dot arrangement based on the inclination of a predetermined inclination line of a character. The smoothing processor searches a dot pattern which matches with a jaggy pattern from the bit map font and replaces the same with the replacement pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
