PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in production of 5-membered cyclic carbonates by reacting epoxy compounds with carbon dioxide in the presence of a catalyst, a method for producing 5-membered cyclic carbonate compounds in a short time and efficiently which makes a high-pressure reactor unnecessary and reduces unreacted gas.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing 5-membered cyclic carbonate compounds from epoxy compounds and carbon dioxide, in which carbon dioxide is supplied continuously as micro-nano bubbles having a bubble diameter of 50 μm or less into a reaction system under atmospheric pressure where an epoxy compound and a catalyst are present, and the reactants are reacted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
