PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction body which does not require a protective member such as an overcoat layer, is capable of discoloring an image or handwriting formed with reversible thermochromic ink from a first state to a second state without peeling it, is hardly worn by friction, and is highly durable through repeated use, and to provide a writing instrument capable of freely forming an image with the reversible thermochromic ink.SOLUTION: In an elastic friction body 1 which discolors an image formed using reversible thermochromic ink 6 from a first state to a second state by frictional heat, the friction body 1 is formed of silicone rubber. Further, a writing instrument 2 incorporates at least the reversible thermochromic ink 6, and the writing instrument 2 includes the elastic friction body 1 which discolors handwriting formed with the writing instrument 2 from the first state to the second state by the frictional heat.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
