PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can prevent discharge quantity variations due to negative pressure variations in a head liquid chamber during high-speed and high-duty image printing, and to provide a control method of an inkjet recording device. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device discharges inks from nozzles by applying driving pulses to recording heads, and includes a pressure acquisition means to acquire pressure in the ink liquid chamber of the recording heads, and a means to select driving pulses controlling the quantity of droplets on the basis of pressure information acquired by the pressure acquisition means. The inkjet recording device includes a driving pulse switching means to switch the driving pulses applied to the recording heads to selected driving pulses. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
