CHAT INFORMATION RETRIEVAL METHOD AND DEVICE

A chat information retrieval method and device are disclosed to imporve the retrieval speed. The chat information retrieval method includes the steps: building index file for at least one chat information; each chat information has an unique serial number; recording corresponding relation between an index word and a serial number of chat information including the index word in the index file; searching said built index file, and obtaining the chat information serial number corresponding to the searching key word according to the corresponding relation between said index word and chat information serial number; obtaining the chat information including the searching key word according to the obtained chat information serial number.
