#CMT# #/CMT# The safety device has a traction device connected with a tarpaulin-like support assembly. The safety device is drawn from a position in which the support assembly is folded up and arranged in a front area (6) of a motor vehicle (2). The safety device is drawn into another position in which the support assembly is formed over an engine bonnet (12) and a windscreen (14). The support assembly extends up to a front roof pillar (20) of a roof (22) of the vehicle in the latter position.
