PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a communication device which allows users to perform communications without complex operations; a communication method; communication programs; and an imaging device. SOLUTION: A radio wave transmitter 62 is provided at one edge of a digital camera 10A, and a radio wave receiver 64 is provided at a position so as to communicate with the radio wave transmitter 62 provided at another digital camera 10A if the other digital camera 10A is placed within a predetermined distance and in a predetermined position relationship. If communications can be performed between the radio wave receiver 64 and the radio wave transmitter 62 provided at the other digital camera 10A, a CPU 40 controls so as to allow the radio wave receiver 64 to receive predetermined information, and if communications can be performed between the radio wave transmitter 62 and the radio wave receiver 64 provided at the other digital camera 10A, the CPU 40 controls so as to allow the radio wave transmitter 62 to transmit predetermined information.
