PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color patch creating method for color representation characterization, a color patch for color representation characterization, a color patch creating apparatus for color representation characterization, and the color management method further reducing color shift with a printing color standard. SOLUTION: A signal processing section 2 performs the steps comprising of: creating a print data of a plurality of comparison color patches and storing it at a memory 3, wherein, at the print data, each dot matrix% value of Y, M, C, K is increased/decreased by a predetermined variation amount based on YMCK dot matrix% value of a standard color patch adopting a color of each patch portion as a printing standard color of offset printing; reading the print data of the standard color patch and the plurality of comparison color patches from the memory 3, and printing the print data by a color copier 7; and comparing a measured result of a Lab value of each patch portion with the printing standard color of offset printing for each printed matter, and determining a YMCK dot matrix% value of a patch portion of a color patch for color representation characterization based on a YMCK dot matrix% value of a color patch having a Lab value close to the printing standard color.
