PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for transmitting image data from a portable telephone to an image display device by connecting the portable telephone to the image display device by USB and for displaying an image transmitted from the portable telephone to the image display device on the display means of the image display device nearly in real time. SOLUTION: The image display device 1 is provided with a USB host function for controlling USB connection between the portable telephone 2 and the image display device 1 when a USB terminal 24 of the image display device 1 is connected with a USB terminal 57 of the portable telephone 2.
