<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for electrostatic latent image development having a low resistance resin coating layer, which has high durability of imparting stable charges to a toner for a long period of time and prevents generation of counter charges causing a lead-off phenomenon. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The carrier for electrostatic latent image development is formed by coating the surfaces of core particles with a resin, wherein the carrier particles has distribution having peaks where the form factors are in the range from 100 to 120 and in the range from 140 to 150 respectively.
