<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which can surely suppress the intrusion of water into a bearing portion, can enhance water drainage performance, and can improve sound/vibration-proof performance and durability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electric motor is formed in such a manner that: a stator S is constituted by winding a coil 17 to a plurality of teeth 13 arranged at a stator base 4; a rotor R is constituted of a bottomed cylindrical rotor yoke 60 which covers the stator S from a front face, and magnets 62 which are arranged at the peripheral wall 61 of the rotor yoke 60 so as to face the coil 17; a rotating shaft 6 is arranged in the center of the rotor R; and the rotating shaft 6 is rotatably supported to the center of the stator base 4 via a first bearing 29 and a second bearing 30. The opening edge 70 of the rotor yoke 60 is oppositely arranged at the front face of the stator base 4, a labyrinth 94 is formed between the front face of the stator base 4 and the opening edge 70 of the rotor yoke 60, and the labyrinth is opened in a lower part.
