PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing capable of solving such a problem as the deterioration of fuel efficiency by suppressing the occurrence of unnecessary friction resistance between a crank shaft and itself.SOLUTION: The sliding bearing is formed in a cylindrical shape by a pair of semicircular halved bearings 11, 12 each circumferential end of one of which abuts on that of the other. The halved bearing 12 has each circumferential end 12a and a central portion 12b set to be narrow, and a quarter portion 12c located therebetween and set to be wide. The width of the quarter portion 12c is 300-400 μm greater than each of the widths of each circumferential end 12a and the central portion 12b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
