PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and highly-durable compost container which can be used repeatedly, and in which vermination is hard to occur, and a method of composting garbage.SOLUTION: A compost container 1 has: a bottomed bag body 10 with air permeability and water permeability; an inner box body 20 which is provided with an upper opening 21 and in which a side face 22 is provided with air permeability and a bottom surface 23 is not provided with water permeability; and an outer box body 40 which is provided with a freely openable/closable lid 41 and in which at least lid 41 or a side face 42 is provided with air permeability. The compost container 1 is used in such a state that: the inner box body 20 is arranged in the outer box body 40; the bag body 10 with aerobic microorganisms and a carbon material as a base material housed therein is arranged in the inner box body 20; and the lid 41 of the outer box body 40 is closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
