PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve displacement drive by using linear drive of a pipetting device.SOLUTION: A pipetting device 10 comprises a plurality of pipetting channels 50 which are adjustable along a channel axis K. The pipetting device comprises a displacement drive by means of which each of the pipetting channels can be independently displaced along a displacement axis V orthogonal to the channel axis. The displacement drive includes a linear motor, a stator of the linear motor has (k) pieces ((k) is equal to or more than 2) of magnet arrangements 32 and 42 which comprise a row 36 of magnets. An rotor of the linear motor comprises at least one conductor loop arrangement 38 including three conductor loops relating to different phases of a three-phase power source, each of the pipetting channels comprises at least one conductor loop arrangement, and the plurality of pipetting channels of (n) pieces (n>k) of pipetting channels. Regarding a group having (k) pieces of pipetting channels which are mutually directly continued along the displacement axis V, the rotors of the group are associated with different magnet arrangements and interact therewith.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
