PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly calculate a parallax, in a stereo image processing method for subjecting a stereo image to matching processing to calculate a parallax.SOLUTION: A stereo image processing method detects a point on a corresponding image having the same coordinates as those of a reference point of a reference image, and defines the point as a primary corresponding point; defines a point deviated from the primary corresponding point by a parallax due to rail extraction on the same scanning line, as a secondary corresponding point; performs matching processing from the secondary corresponding point to the left end or light end of the corresponding image to calculate a correlation value; and when the correlation value satisfies a predetermined condition to a preset threshold, defines the parallax due to rail extraction as a parallax, and when the correlation value does not satisfy the predetermined condition, executes a coarse-fine search method to calculate a parallax.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
